[attr="class","defaulttext"]Xehanort's plan to awaken the 13 figures of Darkness had been stopped by the combined actions of Riku, Lea, Ventus - and Sora himself, though the latter might argue he had less to do with stopping it, and more to do with why it had to be stopped. The keyblade bearers were all awakening, another Master had been crowned, and the 7 figures of Light were preparing to make their stand in the final battle.
[break][break]
And when that would happen, they would win. He hadn't been sure of it before, but that fact became cemented in Xehanort's knowledge with Riku stood against him and made it clear that he was no longer ashamed of his darkness. Light would always when it was on equal footing with Darkness.
[break][break]
He had one final trick to play, a plan that had started to formulate in his mind during his time working with Namine. The Memory Witch had manipulated the chains of Sora's memory and had taken him out from the hearts of those connected to him, altering their memories. Xehanort did the same, only instead of removing Sora he reached down deep to remove the memories of the Keyblade, of the Princesses of Heart, of Nobodies and Dream Eaters and the struggles and battles they had faced - and of Kingdom Hearts - from the minds and memories of all.
[break][break]
This act of magic was a strain on Xehanort, and he found himself falling into a slumber that lasted for nearly a year. Recently he has awoken though, and with the intention of bringing back the Darkness. And who can protect the Worlds when there is no memory of the evil that it needs to be protected from?
