[break]
[attr="class","defaulttext"]Data constructs are simulations of real people. At their very core, they are little more than computer programs. They are programs that can mimic human emotions and can appear to learn and grow, but they're limited to the fact that they are made up of nothing more than ones and zeros.
[break][break]
While constructs can grow beyond their initial programming, their start had to've been manufactured by someone in one form or another. They were either purposefully programmed or the result of stray data gathering. Either way, it is impossible for a data construct to simply appear out of thin air or to be born from 'nothing'; there must be a catalyst to create it.
[break][break]
Constructs can only exist in digital form. This means they are limited to the simulation of Utopia and, currently, cannot leave it to go to any other world that may appear. They would need a physical body to enter into to do so. There is danger in this, however; once they had picked a physical form they cannot leave it, so it would benefit any construct to be extremely picky over their physical body.
[break][break]
Constructs can use any element. While in simulations, they can also manipulate the physical world around them by altering the coding. However, doing this uses a great deal of their own energy and leaves them open to the risk of errors in their own processing and coding, and runs the risks of viruses corrupting their data.
