Edym grew up in Atlantica as a merman. He had a simple life playing his sitar. He loved music and eventually joined impressed Sebastian enough to join his troupe and perform for the royal family and Atlantica in general. He was finally got the job of his dreams playing music. But he felt something was missing. He knew he could be replaced if someone better came along so he thought of a way to perfect his act by trying to learn magic. The only one he knew was Ursula and he asked for her help to learn how to become a water mage. She accepted in return for owing him a favor. She trained him how to be quite good at it and he thanked her. [break][break]
Unfortunatley he learned what the favor was to try to help her enter the palace. He tried to warn the king of her attack but she tried turning him into a polyp to join her garden. In his panic he tried using his water to throw potions to block her attack. It injured her but it also turned him human. Having no choice he fled to the surface not just to breathe but escape Ursula. He was relieved the kingdom was spared. Unfortunately Triton couldn't change him back. The mix of potions had made it permanet for him. He was heartbroken at the loss of his fins and being unable to visit the kingdom of Atlantica and all his friends. He said goodbye to Triton and Sebastian and toured the kingdoms on the land. He played his sitar for many kingdoms including Prince Eric. Unfortunately during a performance Heartless appeared. Edym panicked trying to run and in an accidental bout of heroism knocked Eric to the side and got struck by an Heartless attack. He disappeared with everyone believing he died saving the prince. Edym's Nobody awoke in the World That Never Was. He was renamed Demyx by Xemnas and recruited to joining the Organization. His simitar and water mage abilities made him a powerful ally. But unlike his counterpart he had no desire to work or fight. He preferred recon missions as he didn't have to do much during them. He was shocked to hear of the elimiation of six Nobodies in Castle Oblivion and was upset to learn he'd likely have to work twice as heart to make up for the missing members. Demyx vowed to slack off twice as heart to make up for it. He saw the Organization as more colleagues than friends teasing Roxas, Xion and Axel at times. But he's the closest with Xigbar calling him "Xiggy" and Axel. But he does have a soft spots for Xion and Roxas despite dumping some of his missions on Roxas wanting to fo have fun. [break][break]
But after Xion's defeat she merged into Roxas and Roxas disappeared making Demyx sad they both left. And then Axel left being deemed a traitor so they only one he really had to hang out with was Xigbar. After some investigation Demyx and the others soon learned Roxas and Sora were reunited into one being and with the others confronted him in Radiant Garden mocking him. He returned twice more to face Sora. Once in Olympis Coliseum stealing the Olympus Stone to fight in the Underworld but Sora defeated him and got the stone back. He then appeared once more in Radiant Garden stopping Sora, Donald, and Goofy from helping out Leon, Cloud and the others from fighting various Heartless and Nobodies. The trio defeated Demyx for good this time as he disintegrated. His Heartless had also been destroyed and Edym appeared in Atlantica. [break][break]
However Xenahort didn't want to take the chance of former Nobodies being able to be a threat to him so Edym was captured and brought to the combined world of Radiant Garden, Shibuya, Twilight Town and Destiny Islands. He ended up in Twilight Town believing he was Edym Riverson a lifeguard at the city's indoor pool. He doesn't have his sitar at the moment and does play the guitar a lot often gaining him male and female admirers. Of course he's oblivious to the flirting and has ended up on awkward meetings that ended up as dates he didn't know about.

Being memory wiped like most of the others he has no skills or powers at the moment. Aside from playing his guitar and ability to swim super fast.
