the cracks in our memories can't change the bonds in our hearts
Welcome
to Simple and Clean, an au post-3D Kingdom Hearts roleplay.
After Xehanort removed the chains of memories linked not to people, but to objects and events - the keyblade, the Princesses of Heart, and Kingdom Hearts itself - the heroes found themselves living in a world where they are... ordinary. Where they are highschool and college students, parents or siblings, and living in a world not too far removed from our own.
Casting his spell cost Xehanort strength and time, but he's begun to move - and not everyone had their memories pulled. How will the worlds react to the return of the darkness when the light doesn't know to stand against it?
Events
Xehanort's awakening is at hand, and with it has come the beginning of the destruction of his spell.

She walked in the store smile bright as ever wearing a nice flowing dark brown skirt with nice light brown cashmere sweater, small name tag on her breast. It was the night shift, the slowest shift, lucky her. Perfect time to talk to all those lovely annoying customers coming and going, never know when one of those pesky trappees wonder in. She clicked the register full of useless money, all pretty useless, well except make those "others" feel safe and comfortable. The fact they could jsut give something useless to solve another useless probably, made her absolutely sick.
October, been over two years now by a month, hasn't it? Wow. She has been alive 2 years and 1 month, in some way her birthday as those humans claims is over and gone. 2 Years old. Maybe she should celebrate, then why wait a full month? Why ddnt she do it last. oh well, those were concepts creating by pitiful beings without the comfort of programming to tell them where to go, what to do. Oh Wait. Did they even have a choice? Salvation? Are they as stuck into programs as she was? Confused about the reality they are in. No matter, what's done is done.
No customers, rain started splattering against the windows. Well, soon it would be time to close shop, how sad. She picked up the rag mindlessly began cleaning tables, her hair gently falling in strands from behind her back as her body moved. The small green apron seemed to be filled with straws ans little extras, just in case customer needed something. On the Go, faster than around about. The cool liquid felt moist on her fingers, the orange scent filled the air mixing with the left over vanilla from earlier purchases. What to do after this? She could only think to wander around town... 1 more hour, she close shop.
She heard a click of the bell, instantly she stopped cleaning a smile crossing her face. "Hello, welcome. Will be there in a second, please take your time looking at our drink choices."
Everyone knew who Jim was at this point whether or not he was shopping or doing something else they knew who Jim was. He was the supposed alien that arrived in a giant green portal from the sky. He was the first alien that ever made contact with Earth but somehow the people grew bored of his antics or rather they were already used to him but Morph was still an anomaly as many wanted to take the creature from Jim's care and study it. But Jim took care of Morph like he did for Jim and that was what made them a good team when it came to adventuring. As he rain poured Jim had been given an umbrella from his new friends Ienzo and Edym who were very gracious and kind to the young spacer letting him stay at Ienzo's place as a new roommate and friend. Jim had seen a nearby cafe as he wore his usual clothes which were wet from the rain and Morph tucked in Jim's jacket trying to keep warm from the cold.
Jim hardly knew the lay of the land but he was pretty hungry right now after his nap as he woke up in the evening and decided to take a walk to the nearby cafe. As Jim entered the cafe he was greeted by a woman who seemed to be the only one working at this late of a time here in Shibuya. Jim closed his umbrella and Morph had stayed in Jim's jacket pocket trying to warm up but not as hidden as he was before because of the heater in the cafe warming them both up. "Is the kitchen open too? I woke up late and i'm pretty hungry right now." Morph flew out of Jim's pocket as it greeted the woman acting like a dog as he panted like he wanted attention from the woman. "Oh and some soup for Morph here." Jim knew how much Morph loved soup as the little pink blob could easily eat it. "If you have any soup on special I think I'll have some too." Jim said as he sat down at a booth looking back at Morph flying around the cafe with no care in the world.
She heard it about the news, the amazing new alien contact, truly she thought it was a hoax. The system wasn't so broken to allow such issues to break in, just some large joke illusion, well that was the public thought, thankfully. To balance out the system, you must trust the system. As such anything getting passed was part of the system. She had more to worry about than some outsider causing problems, well.. She would have dealt with him, if he hadn't completely poofed off the map. Rather annoying, first the heartless then the missing people, and poof an outsider. Couldn't a girl catch a break?
What was worst now she had to pretend to like somebody she didn't even understand the concept of! She followed her natural program patterns of being a simple cafe mistress, when she looked up to see just who this exact customer was. Her mind instantly scanned the person matching him to the face the facial scanners had picked up, she froze on the spot as he seemed to warm himself up talking to her with a smile. She blinked several times figuring just to play it smart, who had he made contact with? How will she ever clean this mess up. She placed on the happy go lucky of her persona, couldn't flirt too much, not with that Riku near by. Ugh. She hated emergency protocols.. Made it so much harder to operate. "Ahh yes! I can easily whip up something for you."
She quickly turned on the soup warmers to raise the temperature just a slight be more than what a normal customer dealt with. "Must be cold outside with all that rain, you just want 2 soups? Nothing else?" She asked kindly before commenting on his outfit, "Interesting choice of wardrobe, were you some sort of modern cosplayer? Play actor?" She leaned on the counter waiting for his responses, already finished clicking up his order on the register.
Jim was asked about his outfit which he was used to wearing for the most part. It helped that Jim knew what to say at this point for people who asked about him and Morph but it was good to get out of that rain. Jim looked into his pocket for how much money Ienzo gave him to spend on food and it wasn't very much to spend. "Two glasses of water as well." Jim said as he looked to the pink blob now resting on Jim's shoulder. Jim didn't like saying he was an alien so he usually just said he was from out of town or cosplaying. "Well I heard Halloween is coming up so I figured why not get some practice with my outfit early on." Jim said chuckling and clearly knowing that he couldn't exactly make up a cover story for Morph and patted the pink blob as it rested on his shoulder.
Jim placed the money he had for the orders on the table then waited as he sat down warming up from the rain. "Yeah it is pretty cold out there with the rain. I'm just glad I got good friends supporting me after all that has happened. They gave me this umbrella after all." Jim said with a light smirk knowing he wouldn't have been able to live very long outside on his own. Jim was very grateful for Ienzo and Edym as they had helped him a lot through this tough time.
Two glasses of water? Really now, how wa-oh right shouldn't argue with customer. She grabbed two cups as he went on about the halloween coming up and it was practice. Her eyes gave a small eye roll as her back was turned from him, how annoying anyone actually buy that story? "Is that so? Pretty neat going out wearing your costume taking advantage of October month." She finished placing water into both, setting them on the waiting counter about the time he set the money down, she accepted it placing the bits into the register. Around this time he had moved to the table, she went to check on both soups, pouring two serving bowls around the only size they had.
She picked up both cups walking over to the table as he continued on about the rain and friend supporting him, she gave a smile and slight nod. "That is really sweet of your friends, how long have you known each other?" She asked planning to build around figuring out just who his friends were, just so she could gather more data report to the master computer... Fix the damn issue of this "extra" in the world. Working her way over behind the counter, she picked up both soups walking back to place them on the table.
