to Simple and Clean, an au post-3D Kingdom Hearts roleplay.
After Xehanort removed the chains of memories linked not to people, but to objects and events - the keyblade, the Princesses of Heart, and Kingdom Hearts itself - the heroes found themselves living in a world where they are... ordinary. Where they are highschool and college students, parents or siblings, and living in a world not too far removed from our own.
Casting his spell cost Xehanort strength and time, but he's begun to move - and not everyone had their memories pulled. How will the worlds react to the return of the darkness when the light doesn't know to stand against it?

Xehanort's awakening is at hand, and with it has come the beginning of the destruction of his spell.

10/08/17 First major site event has begun! Xehanort has awoken and he's hellbent on ensuring his plans will not be interfered with. A halloween writing contest has started as well, so be sure to check them both out.
The portal was hidden in the tree, and discovering it was the result of literally running straight into it. The expectation Jim might have had of colliding with any sort of solid object would be wiped away and replaced by the fact that he was no longer in a park in the middle of Shibuya City. Instead, he was in an open countryside that overlooked a kingdom that seemed wistful and... sad. Worn and tattered banners were visible even from where Jim was, and it was clear they had been faded with age. The rulers of this kingdom clearly no longer cared.
Jim had been walking through the park with his new friends Edym and Ienzo but since he wasn't looking where he was going he had tripped on a stray branch on the ground and collided with the two in front of him expecting to hit the tree in front of them. But suddenly as they fell together they did not hit the tree but fell through a portal instead much like the one that Jim had come through on his first day here.
"What the?! This doesn't look like the city from before." Jim said as he noticed that Morph had once again formed into a mattress saving the three from a falling impact. "Gee thanks Morph you saved our butts there." Jim then looked around as he saw the kingdom of where they had landed. "It's definitely a different planet but which one?" Jim got up from the mattress that was Morph as he kept his form for the other two to recover after the fall out of the portal. "You guys alright?" Jim asked as he looked back down to them.

Edym was walking through the park with Ienzo and Edym. The novelty of a man from outer space seemed to have worn off. He wondered if people just passed it off as a movie or publicity stunt. Some would just rationalize to themselves wanting things to be normal even if they weren't. Then a portal suddenly opened as Jim bumped into him and Ienzo sending the trio through a portal. Edym stood up but frowned seeing the portal vanish. They had no way back and they were in a strange new world.
"Where are we?" asked Edym.
He smiled at the pink fuzzball realizing he'd made a mattress after Jim pointed it out.
"Yeah. Thank you Morph. That fall could have hurt." said Edym.
He stood up and dusted himself off.
"I guess we need to do some exploring to figure out where we are. We definitely aren't getting home the same way. Is this your home Jim?" asked Edym.
He held out the phone tracking that odd signal again, it was always around the park... Why the park. He sent a text to the guy he had met at the park earlier asking if there had been any odd activity, there was even more spikes than earlier. It was like an odd new pattern began forming that was besides the constant movement of odd spikes. He didn't get it, none of it really made sense. The signal today was a constant heavy strong one, that led him around to a base of a large tree, he was too busy staring at his phone to notice the collapse of homo sapiens one against another. This leading him to be pushed into the tree.. No through the tree.
He landed roughly on the ground his phone slamming bursting into 3 pieces: Battery, back, and main phone. He pulled away with a frustrated groan scattering to pick up the pieces. The screen bleeped on to show a small crack but overall was fine. The phone still loaded, had given him time too look around. What? How? This wasn't in the park earlier. He blinked several times staying extremely quiet trying to figure maybe this was a large complex play with complex high tech screen background. The weather seemed to changed as well, which.. Might be blamed on something like water for effects? Lamps? His mind tried to figure for a while whether this place was 100% not real, and was not a high chance of some new oddity besides the alien.
The screen on the phone blipped vibrating in his hand signaling it was all one. Instant. No service. That. Wasn't right. He searched more settings. Nothing. No service. He checked the device itself, maybe hardware? Another small groan as Edym asked Jim if this his was planet, right soon as Jim announced this might be another one. This.. didn't make sense. Aliens were not this high tech? His eyes crossed over to Jim's choice of clothing... Then style was an odd thing.
With a few steps separating from the group his eyes slightly grew, what new advance technologies? What could these guys have to offer! His heart began to pound, turning to the group wide eyed with silent excitement. "No service. Not Home." He commented all the excitement not really showing in the voice.
Jim looked back to the two as Ienzo was commenting on how their was no phone service here and Edym asking if this was his planet. "No it's not Montressor. If it was you'd be seeing solar vehicles everywhere and various other races mixed with ours. But this place seems different somehow, empty. I don't recognize it at all." Morph turned itself back into its original form and then flew around excitedly as the three looked around. Jim pondered about what kind of planet this was as he walked toward the large and seemingly abandoned castle in the distance. "Maybe there will be clues about this place at that castle there. You guys want to check it out?" Jim said looking back to them.
Jim didn't like to wait and was tempted to just go there on his own but these two clearly had no way to defend themselves if he left by himself to check it out. So Jim waited for their answer before he set out.
He looked up at Jim turned on them both answering about mixed races and solar vehicles. The little Morph thing floating bouncing up and down, small distraction that Ienzo fund his eyes drifting too before focusing on Jim about the castle. The castle? Seemed extremely large like that of long ago.
Edym spoke out about time travel, the silver eyes flickered to his close friends. "Time travel?" He asked slightly confused before mumbling, "The data before was pushed into the tree showed high increase rates of the odd activity... You think they're time vortexes? Miniature black holes?" He asked confsued, before giving a small nod toward Edym's advice.
He looked around before pointing to what seemed some sort of clothing store, "What about there?" He asked slightly hanging back, not the leader sort. His hands fidgeting slightly slipping the phone into his lab pocket. He wanted to gather data... But without his signal, he'll have to use a new method. Manual.
Jim was all for Edym's plan of blending in as they went to the clothing shop as Jim traded in some gold pieces in for the clothes that they all changed into. Jim didn't really like changing his clothes to fit the current time but it was needed so people didn't freak out like the people of Shibuya did when Jim had arrived there. Jim stifled Morph into his pocket after whispering to the pet alien that he needed to stay hidden.
Jim then was curious about the portal they went through like Ienzo was talking about. "Maybe not time portals but space portals like the one I came through before arriving in Shibuya. I have heard of other planets with little to no technology before but I never saw one up close." Jim didn't need to change much about his own outfit since it had already looked near the current style.
As they walked through the castle town Jim had been curious about the whole world itself. "Edym you think a place like this would even have dragons? Jeez I sure hope not." Jim said as they wandered around the town.

Edym shrugged.
"Time travel seems the most likely. Unless we got transported to some country that hasn't updated in awhile. There were old castles that people have fixed up recently. But I haven't heard of anything like this. Time travel seems to make the most sense to me. But I could bde wrong." said Edym.
Edym nodded before he frowned.
"I just realized if this is time travel what money we have won't be any good. Not that I'd have enough to get anything. We may need to steal clothes. I don't like it but I'd rather not someone to come after us." said Edym.
He was suprised that Jim had gold and he chuckled.
"I guess that solves that problem." said Jim.
He followed the others into the shop and changed clothes into a green tunic, green pants, and white shoes.
"We need to hide our old clothes somewhere. If we find a way back we can't have someone stumble across these either." said Edym.
Edym blinked in surprise.
"We could be on another world? I don't know which is worse. Stranded in the past or on another planet. Either way we may not find a way back. At least not soon" said Edym.
Edym frowned at the thought of dragons.
"I hope not. But I guess the only way to find out is look." said Edym.
He paused walking outside to where they had first arrived.
"I think we need to dig a hole to stash our clothes and anything important from our time like cell phones, keys, and what not. And just dig it up later. If we carry that stuff around people will get suspicious but we can't leave it around for someone to find either." said Edym.
Ienzo accepted the offered gold buying himself a red tunic, red pants, and white shoes. He looked down at the clothes before slightly moving back and forth with small girlish grin. While Edym went on about having to bury their clothes, He bought a green tunic like Edym's before silently ripping it.
Then he walked a couple of the feet from the group, "What about over here?" He asked shouting to the group pointing to small place with a shrub, already sticking his clothes in the newly made green tunic bag. Once everyone agreed, he hid the clothes under the shrubed area just as the group began talking about how it was probably space portal. "Environment highly similar to home, need to see a map see if any continents match Earth. Otherwise, look for spatial travel. The portal still there, we can return home at any time... Nobody should find." He went on slightly thinking of the scenario, his large eyes looking around, "Edym, I wanna gather data and samples. Can we go together?"
