Mother Gothel was at the end of her life when she had finally found herself a flower unlike any other. The flower was magical, and with a sweet and soothing song, the petals will glow. This glow allows mother Gothel to become her young and beautiful self.

She had tried her best to keep the flower safe, and out of peoples reach. But that did not stop the rumors of such a magical thing would always get out in the world. Luckily for Mother Gothel, not many were successful when looking for the flower. Until…

The queen came onto a deadly illness while pregnant with the soon to be princess. This lead to the knights going out looking for the flower that many had spoken about. Sadly, for mother Gothel, the flower was found by the guards and taken to the queen. It was here that the guards made a broth using the magical flower, many believing it to be destroyed.

But, when the child was born, she was born with beautiful golden blonde hair named Repunzel. Mother Gothel figured out that the flower was now Rapunzel’s hair. When attempting to cut the hair, it would turn brown and die. This is what forced mother Gothel in to stealing the child from her parents and taking her to a large tower hidden into woods.

It is here that she raised Rapunzel as her own, singing to her and using her hair exactly as she did the flower. She refuses to let Repunzel out of the tower, telling her that it is a dangerous place in the world and she was only protecting her.

She wasn’t lying about that, she was only trying to protect her new little flower…

Mother Gothel knows nothing of powers and has currently only has basic villain skills.
