[attr="class","defaulttext"]Xehanort knew better than to mess with the memories linked to other people - the bond between Sora, Riku, and Kaira, between Roxas, Xion, and Lea, was too strong to be permanently damaged. Removing their memories of items and objects was far easier, and to keep them from pressing too hard on the gaps and cracks that his magic had left behind, he merged together several worlds to keep them together.

The Radiant Garden. Twilight Town. Traverse Town. The Destiny Islands. Shibuya.
[break][break]
These five worlds - technically four, with the fifth existing solely as a refuge to those who had either lost their worlds, or had been cast out - became one known as Utopia. Not that the inhabitants were aware of the World name. To those who live here, it is simply the world. Earth.
[break][break]
Shibuya and Traverse Town have merged completely, resulting in a large, sprawling city dedicated to the most popular fashions and the hottest trends. The city also has a rather seedy underbelly that mostly comes out at night.
[break][break]
Twilight Town and the Destiny Islands didn't exactly merge, but the Islands became an area that branched off of the nearby beach. Heading into the quiet town was a popular activity for the Islanders, and many of them either got jobs or moved to the mainland when they could.
[break][break]
The Radiant Gardens became a place of research and study. The quiet small town attached to it all but went away, and only the scientists and researchers remained.
[break][break]
Travel between these areas is done freely as they are all connected and combined. Technology and culture is on par with current-day America; Katy Perry would be on the radio and CSI would be on TV. Cars, motorcycles, and bikes are most used for transport, though there is a train that runs everywhere except for the Islands; you need to take a ferry to get there. Like every other world it is self-sustaining with ambient magic ensuring there is always enough food and supplies for everyone. The magic also curbs any sense of wanderlust in those who live there, keeping them happy within the bounds of the cities and towns available to them.
