Roxas was created when Sora stabbed his heart in Hollow Bastion to restore the princesses of hearts to their bodies including Kairi's which had been hiding in Sora's body for safety. He awoke in Twilight Town with no memories. He was given the name Roxas by Xemnas. He fought for the Organization collecting hearts with his Keyblade. He soon gained Axel and Xion as friends as they would often eat ice cream together on the clock tower after missions. After many successful missions, Roxas and Xion soon were tricked into fighting each other. Axel stopped it only for them to fight again later thanks to Xemnas and the others manipulations. Roxas defeated Xion who vanished being absorbed into Roxas Roxas left wanting to find Sora. Instead, Riku found him. Riku defeated him and captured him using the powers of Darkness turning into Ansem.

Ansem and Diz put Roxas into a digital copy of Twilight town. There Roxas believed he was a normal kid being friends with Hayner, Pence and Olette. He competed in struggle matches and was able to beat one clearing away the competition. But strange things began happening in the town. Photos being stolen, a mysterious key appearing in Roxas's hands and strangers. First white monsters, then a blonde girl and then men in black cloaks. Roxas learned the truth from Diz and Namine. That he was part of Sora. Roxas later returned near the end of Sora's new adventure with Namine in the World That Never was after Sora and Riku had finally defeated Xemnas. Namine and Roxas opened a door to send most of the group home but Sora and Riku were left behind. They eventually found their own way back as the group was reunited. Roxas glad to see Namine again even if they weren't always active in their newly joined bodies. He met Sora again in the dream world fighting him and Sora apologized saying he deserved his own life which Roxas smiled and said that was why he had to be the one to live. Roxas then disappeared and Sora was later rescued by Riku, Lea and Mickey and brought back to the waking world.

Thanks to Xenahort's manipulations, everyone's memories were rewritten to forget all about Keyblades, Princesses of heart, the Darkness, Heartless, Nobodies the Organization, Maleifcent, and everything else of their adventures in the past decade or more. Roxas, Sora, Riku, Namine, Kairi, Xion, Lea, and so many others were brainwashed to forget. Somehow Terra and Ven had regained their bodies. Aqua was out of the Realm of Darkness. But their memories were gone. And unlike last time Namine couldn't restore them as she too was affected. But the worlds had one last hope. As Jiminy's journal of Sora, Donald and Goofy's adventure against the Nobodies and Organization were being erased just like before. Data Roxas was created as an embodiment of the journal. He escaped Disney Castle in Mickey's gummi ship unable to take anyone with him as they had started to forget. He was labeled an intruder and he was forced to flee to save himself.

Roxas tried to find the others but his data on the worlds was old. He spent the next two years searching for everyone but Radiant Garden or Hallow Bastion as it was once called had disappeared. So had Twilight Town and Destiny Islands. He was unaware the three had merged into one world. He'd spend the next two years traveling the worlds seeking out information. To his surprise, the Heartless and Nobodies had disappeared. Not even the classic Unversed, or escaped Dream Eaters from the dream world. It was as if the creatures never existed. Everyone he spoke to had no knowledge of the Hearltess or Nobodies. They remembered the villains from their world but without the interference of keyblade wilders and beings of darkness things happened different. Aladdin and his friends defeated Jafar twice on their own. Simba took down Scar. Hercules defeated Hades. The worlds went on isolated unaware of each other. Roxas tried seeking out Yen Sid and Merlin but their last known locations were Twilight Town. Not even o0ther magical creatures like genies and fairies were aware.

After two years of searching he was beginning to give up hope until he finally found clues to this new world that had combined Destiny Islands, Radiant Garden, Twilight Town and a 4th world Shibuya. He had very little data on that world so he focused on the other three. But to his fear Sora, Riku, and the others had forgottten as well. Not wanting to be mistaken for the real Roxas he'd donned the cloak of the Organization to keep his identity a secret. While trying to find a way to restore their memories and powers to them. Xenhaort and his cohorts would carry out their plans sooner or later and with no one to stop them this time he might succeed. Roxas wasn't going to let that happen. Not if he could help it.

Manipulate Data: he can manipulate data in computers easier and is able to hack other computers quite easily for information. With the Journal erased he could no longer use it as a home for his data.
