Namine was originally born from Kairi's heart after she lost it during Destiny Island's fall. However, for the longest her existence was unknown. She had somehow wound up in Castle Oblivion and for years lived there with Organization XIII till Sora showed up and saved her. She was trapped in a cage and used against her will to manipulate him, but in the end, he forgave her and the two of them became friends. However, their new friendship was short and Namine put Sora to sleep for a year, piecing his memories back together. It wasn't till a year later she ended up meeting Sora's nobody, Roxas, she guided him to his destiny, but also found a kindred spirit. The two of them returned to their original selves before the final fight against organization xii and thus Namine was whole once more.

In her new life, she was never kidnapped by anyone, but she still kept her quiet demeanor, she still loved art and she still kept to herself. However, this time around she was Kairi's sister, the two of them were complete opposites, something Kairi didn't understand for some time. She continued to try and push her sister to be more outgoing, but Namine was fine seeing everyone happy and staying in the shadows. It would take time for her to get out of her shell, and if she never did she'd still be happy with herself.

She moved from Radiant Garden to Destiny Island when she was six and during her time in high school discovered Sora had siblings. She never saw much of Ventus, but when she met Roxas for a brief moment she felt a connection with him. She's never acted on speaking to him since then, but she has been trying to make more friends.

She is artistic, can sew, and a photographic memory.
