to Simple and Clean, an au post-3D Kingdom Hearts roleplay.
After Xehanort removed the chains of memories linked not to people, but to objects and events - the keyblade, the Princesses of Heart, and Kingdom Hearts itself - the heroes found themselves living in a world where they are... ordinary. Where they are highschool and college students, parents or siblings, and living in a world not too far removed from our own.
Casting his spell cost Xehanort strength and time, but he's begun to move - and not everyone had their memories pulled. How will the worlds react to the return of the darkness when the light doesn't know to stand against it?

10/08/17 First major site event has begun! Xehanort has awoken and he's hellbent on ensuring his plans will not be interfered with. A halloween writing contest has started as well, so be sure to check them both out.

Two things were currently true at the moment. One: Riku loved his little sister with all of his heart and two, he would happily strangle her if he had the chance.
Shockingly enough, he got it. He understood. Having to move away from your friends was hard, and when she had gone to Shibuya with him she had been forced to say goodbye to Roxas and Lea. It wasn't permanent considering how the small town was only an hour away, but afternoon hangouts were harder to arrange. To to mention that he really wasn't a fan of the blond or the red-head-
But it was hard for her and he got that.
But that didn't mean she could decide to just skip school and run off to Twilight Town just because.
Riku barely waited for the train to stop before bolting out, practically barreling over the passengers standing and waiting to get on. There was an alleyway and some sort of narrow passage that branched off for there that she would normally hang out in, right?

He had left slightly early from class, the Biology teacher went on and on about how dangerous fire could be that it all related to entropy to bring balance to the world. He blurred it all out before asking to go to the bathroom, there he took the pass and went out the school sneaking past the police officer. Once free he made his way toward the secret hideout a tunnel system under Twilight Town leading toward the train tracks. He used to hang out there all the time with Lea and Xion, maybe just maybe Lea was there.
Reaching the spot, he snuck into the tunnel system, there he walked about slowly. This place was so cool, all the various pipes crisscrossing going who know where. He heard shuffling near by, he dared call out, "Lea that you?"

"Unfortunately for you, no."
Riku made no attempt to hide the sour tone in his voice as he stepped into the area that they had dubbed their 'usual spot'. He had never really understood the appeal of it, considering it was little more than just some hole in the wall, but it was where she liked to go so who was he to judge?
"I'm here looking for Xion. Where is she." It wasn't even really a question with the way he said it. Riku just said the words as a flat statement, arms crossing over his chest as he glared at the blond. There was-- there was no way that Roxas wasn't involved with her decision to bail on class and run back to the town.
"Trying to play dumb and hide her is only going to make things even worse for her."

Voice came out, the blonde practically groaned, damn what was he doing here? Wait. That would mean Xion should be here, he felt his heart slightly get excited. The teen gave a nonchalant look, practically oozing with disinterest for this invader. That was until the male accusingly asked where Xion was, as if Roxas knew. Wait, he would be the first to know, right? His hand suddenly itched to check his phone, did she texted him? No, he didn't think so. If her brother didn't know, then where.. did she go? Wait, Riku got here right... DID XION SKIP SCHOOL? that was serious, a slight cocky grin crossed his face, she did all that for him?
The silver hair crossed his arms eyes narrowing trying to look threatening, great this wasn't going to be fun. The blonde hated how the elder thought he was above Roxas, saw Roxas some trouble maker punk, frustratingly annoying. The blonde gave a snort half laugh, "Why should I tell you? Maybe she wanted to get away from your overprotective brotherly love." He slipped his hand into his pockets, smokebombs, maybe run away? Look for Xion afterward? Where was she? Why was her brother here, yet her heard nothing from him. He felt his heart stumbled worried, what if some sicko got her. logically he should talk to the brother, but why make things easy?

He grit his teeth at Roxas' words but did his best not to bare them. After all, he was probably right. She probably had decided to run off to get away from him, though he doubted that would be the way she would word it. More like, she just wanted to go see Roxas and Lea and she didn't want to worry him and he always was worrying and working too much and just missing school one day and leaving to visit them wouldn't really be that big of a deal-!... right?
If she had asked him that to his face, it would have been hard to say no, but Riku was sure he would have been able to. That was probably why she had decided to just run off. Still... She knew better than to act like this. She was better than this!
"Cut the crap Roxas. I'm worried about her and I want to know where she is. We can figure out what happens after that but if you know where she is then tell me."
At least he could just know she was safe...

Pain seemed to be written across the silver hair's face, did Roxas notice kinda, did he care, nope. His fingers felt the small round quick balls in his pockets, just needed to time pull it off. His eyes flickered away from Riku's face past him toward the hall, maybe she went that way? Though The bro just came from that way.. Where was she?
He felt a slight panic surge through him. Not again. Not again, don't shut him out. His mind tunneled vision at the very idea of working with Riku to find his sister. The most logical of all options, why didn't she talk to him First? Was there a text he missed? Did she do something at the school or in the city to get herself into major trouble? Was she even in Twilight Town?
The older of the two yelled making Roxas frustration and anger growing, "Right? Worried so much for her you just moved away, never bothering to visit." His heart pounded, just ask for the help. Work with the guy, they can help rescue her together. No, what if Riku just got in the way? What if Riku did something? ASK! No, no. "Ha, you wish! Like, I'd tell you!" His fingers slid off the smoke ball immediately missing the powdery texture, immediately loathing himself for pulling this versus running away, he turned his back began walking away. He teeth grinded, hands pulled out of the hoodie into the pockets, Damn damn damn.

Turquoise eyes narrowed in response to Roxas' statement. "Don't--"No. There was no reason for him to get into this now and no reason for him to make this any worse than it already was. Telling Roxas that it had been Xion's decision to go with him, that Xion had insisted he take her even after he explained it wasn't likely she would be able to come back that often...
At best, he wouldn't believe Riku. At worst, he would believe him and would be convinced that Riku had done something to poison Xion's thoughts.
"Roxas, please." Riku swallowed hard as he lowered his tone. "I just want to know if she's safe. If she ran off because she wanted space from me then... Fine. I'll give her some space and I'll work it out with her tomorrow. But I just need to know if she's okay now.
"Please."

The plea cam out soft desperately, his foot steps paused listening as Riku went on asking. He unclinched his hands in a slight giving up, why. why. It hurt so much. He slowly turned to face Riku, "I-I... haven't heard anything." He lowered his eyes heart pounding, his body clinching preparing to be scolding for wasting time such childish behavior. When they could have been working together this whole time. He pulled out his phone silently checking, no messages, he gave a small solemn sigh.

"I haven't heard anything."
It took a moment for the words to register properly. At first the just seemed to bounce around his thoughts as the sound of his own blood pumping through his veins seemed to thud hollowly in his ears, deafening him. He, what? He hadn't... heard anything?
Roxas didn't know where Xion was?
This... This wasn't how this was supposed to go. This wasn't how he had planned this out. Xion was meant to be here, hiding from him, and Riku was going to be frustrated sure but that was okay, he would deal. He would swallow his pride and find a place to stay for the night and then they would talk about what had happened the next day. Everything was going to turn out okay.
I haven't heard anything.
"You... what."
Without any real thought he took a step forward, one hand starting to reach out towards Roxas before Riku caught himself. He blinked and shook his head, one hand reaching up to rub at the side of his face.
"I. I've got to be hearing things wrong cause I. I could've just sworn you just said that you. You don't know where my sister is."

"you what" Those words held so much weight, he might as well been shot dead. Something was better than having to admit, that no. He had no clue where she was. That she hadn't contacted him, that she may just have went somewhere else.. Choose to be elsewhere... He saw movement from the corner of his eye his body slightly prepared to dodge an oncoming attack, that never came, he relaxed his posture cursing himself. The phone slid back into his pocket as his bored down to Riku whom seemed to fight some internal battle. Probably thinking this was a huge elaborate prank, or cursing himself for taking her away from... here.. Twilight Town.. Where she belonged.
The silver hair spoke again, it was almost a painful whisper. A fist fight, this is going to become a fist fight wasn't it? Bring it. "You heard me. Nothing. Absolutely nothing, Riku! She didn't come here!" There the pain the words, his throat burning, tears on edge. She didn't contact him, she was missing.. She she.. Didn't contact him.Just.. Walked away. Again. Why again. No, this was first time. His heart hurt so much, girls just walk off didn't they? How could anyone love... Anyone? Gone. His Mom. At least... his brother.. Lea.. Dad.. Leon.. Were here.

"Bullshit."
One word could hold so much power in it, and with this simple statement Riku made it abundantly clear that he absolutely did not believe Roxas. The other was lying. Had to be lying. Was he hiding her? Did he think that this was funny? Worse, had she asked him to do so?
No. Riku could believe a lot of things, but he found he couldn't manage to buy into that one. Roxas' dishonesty was his own decision and no one else's. Or, he knew where she was... but she wasn't here and she was in trouble somewhere.
Okay, so that was officially the Worst thought.
Riku didn't through a punch, but he did reach up to shove the blond back forcefully once he was within distance. The obvious distress the other was in was ignored in favor of the anger that Riku himself was currently feeling, and now he couldn't help but bare his teeth as he snarled. "You're such a fucking liar! God, and I'm such a fucking idiot for actually thinking you could be a decent human being for once."

The word came out strong and powerful, Roxas couldn't believe it. He wasn't buying any of it! Why would he even lie about something like this? He should have just walked away, this so called great older brother wasn't evenn believing XION Could be in danger! What kind of Older brother does this? Just... Just.. Claims someone is lying when there was more matters to handle?
Why? Why? Didn't she talk to him? Tell him she was coming here? It only made him more worried her dumb brother was assuming that she.. Came here... Just. Just. No, that's how deep their friendship went. That was how close they were, she would run away to come see him. HIM. Come see him. He felt anger rising anxiety growing, small tears wanting to form but he fought them back. THIS OLDER BROTHER didn't deserve them. No. No. No. His hatred grew for the elder brother of the girl he was rather close friends with.
So when her brother pushed him back, he slightly stumbled completely pissed. as Riku's words came out on about how HE was the Fucking liar. "Don't Fucking push me! idiot" He responded pushing Riku back harder swearing no hoping that the moron would fall flat on his butt. Just too bad the guy was slightly larger in size, probably more muscle too. bastard.

Lea made his way to the tunnel where him and Roxas would always meet. He knew Roxas was in school, but on the regular occasion he would make his way down here in a grumpy mood. Xion did meet them down here too from time to time whenever her brother would allow her to come out and play. Riku wasn't someone Lea got along with, but he tried his best not to be rude to the guy. Although, the silver head never enjoyed Lea's smart arse comments in most scenarios.
Lea continued along the tunnel, sea salt ice-cream in hand. He had decided against getting one for Roxas as he didn't think he would be down here today. But, to his surprise he heard two male voices arguing further in the tunnel and somehow Lea knew that it was Roxas and Riku having another disagreement.
When he had finally gotten sight of the two they were already shoving each other and were slowly leading to closed fists. He looked around and to his surprise Xion was no where in sight.. He turned his head to the side and cleared his throat.

Riku barely budged from the shove, instead just glaring down at the blond. Roxas was right with his assumption of the other being mostly muscle, and it would take more than just a simple push to get him to actually budge.
And here comes the rest of the idiot brigade. The fight between Roxas and Riku was likely to escalate, and probably still would, but it was temporarily halted by the appearance of the flame-haired male. Riku grit his teeth together tightly as he glanced over at the newcomer to this conversation.
"Yes." Not even a moment of hesitation before he snapped out that response. Though, a beat, and then- "Not unless you know where my sister is. If not, then fuck off; this is between me and Roxas."

Goddamit! He barely even budged! He felt completely angered by the hell bigger the guy was, when a voice rang out asking to join in. He turned sharply frustrated that the red-head had to show up at a time like this, he practically wanted to scream out 'Butt out!' Not even a word crossed his lips at the silver-hair calmly spoke yes, a siple yes that absolutely felt cool. Holy hell, why the hell the clueless older brother stay so calm? Nope, the moment he believed the guy regained composure it was lost with a snap about his sister along with a cuss word.
He felt his body practically set in a gear release the moment the guy cussed explaining between him and Roxas, he felt to almost clarify. That yes, this was between the two of them, yes he is going to tear this Punk a part. What older brother acts this way? Taking his frustration on someone like him? "Don't you fucking disrespect him! Riku!" He shouted aiming a right hook toward Riku's jaw leaving his other half open, the small smokebomb before sliding slightly on edge of the pocket before sliding right back in. Blood high enough to feel pulsing heart against his ears and forehead.
